A SCIFI JAPAN EXCLUSIVE

ScFi Japan is pleased to share another international exclusive for Toho`s SHIN GODZILLA (??????, Shin Gojira, 2016). Distributor CatchPlay has provided some details on the film`s release in Taiwan, along with some images -- some new, some previously available -- in larger sizes and higher quality than have been seen before. Taiwan was the first market outside Japan to screen SHIN GODZILLA; opening the film on August 12, just two weeks after its Japanese release. The movie is being shown in Japanese with Chinese subtitles. SHIN GODZILLA has done moderately well at the box office with an opening weekend take of New Taiwan Dollar $1.71 million (approximately $53,855 US) and a 6th place ranking. In its first 12 days of release, the movie has earned NTD $8.39 million (approximately $264,235 US).
