GODZILLA MINUS ZERO (ゴジラ-0.0/ゴジラマイナスゼロ, Gojira Mainasu Zero), the eagerly anticipated follow-up to director/screenwriter Takashi Yamazaki’s Academy Award winning GODZILLA MINUS ONE (ゴジラ-1.0/ゴジラマイナスワン, Gojira Mainasu Wan), will release exclusively in cinemas across the United Kingdom and Ireland from Friday 6th November, with IMAX previews from Wednesday 3rd November.
The first-ever Japanese production and first-ever Toho produced Godzilla film to be Filmed For IMAX. Takashi Yamazaki returns as director, screenwriter, and VFX supervisor following the enormous success of 2023’s GODZILLA MINUS ONE,which became the first-ever Asian film tto win Best Visual Effects at the 96th Academy Awards.
Synopsis:
"War reduced Japan to zero, and Godzilla plunged it into minus. Two years have passed since then, and the country has faced agonizing struggles to achieve recovery and finally reclaim its daily life. Just as humanity managed to cling to a hard-won peace, a new threat strikes, crushing hope in an instant. There is no third time. Everything ends here."
Now part of the TOHO Global family, Anime Limited are joining a worldwide collaboration set to make franchise history, with GODZILLA MINUS ZERO being the first Japan-produced film in the historic franchise to be released near-simultaneously in Japan, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and North America. The film’s release in Japan on 3rd November commemorates “Godzilla Day”, celebrating the anniversary of the original film’s release in 1954, before cinema’s biggest kaiju stomps across cities in the United Kingdom, Ireland, and beyond.
